A very lushly christmas!

Tuesday, December 21, 2010

Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas in my house without the wonderful scents of Lush beaming out of our bathroom. The best products from Lush are always the holiday scents, so i go a bit crazy when December rolls around and i can once again buy the cheesy novelty bath products i've been missing all year.

Now i know Lush hauls are usually a bit useless, it's difficult for me to explain fragrances but i think it's important to share particular products that are out there because when you walk into Lush it can a little overwhelming with so much to pick from and heavenly scents coming from everywhere. I just have to add that if you haven't tried anything from Lush boy are you missing out, they are the best bath products on the market and i've tried a hell of a lot. Have a browse through this post and even the Lush website, pick something that appeals to you and give it a try....... i promise you won't be disappointed!

A bit of this, a bit of that.

--- 30/11/10 ---

I'm  very sad to report i've changed my mind on the Tom Ford Vanilla Suede and am now on team lollipop26! This lipstick was great on the first few applications but since then it's gone and strange and clumpy. Even the look of it has changed from a lovely nude to just a horrible streak of skin coloured shimmer.

I wish i could find the receipt so i could return them but unfortunately its gone missing :(

So now i'm stuck with a $80 lipstick that i'll never use again. Please girls don't make my mistake and waste your money on this lipstick!

I should also mention that the Blush Nude is still as amazing as the day i bought it and i've already used 1/4 of it (nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo). I 100% recommend this shade just not the Vanilla Suede.

I'm back from Thai-land and have been shopping like crazy so watch this space.............. xx

Chanel polish - through the years

Wednesday, November 3, 2010

No one makes a nail polish like Chanel, the sheer mention of the release of a new shade sends my heart all a flutter. In the past 15 years Chanel has really dominated the nail polish market by being the leading trendsetter in polish. In honour of the Australian release of the new Chanel polish 547 Pulsion, a deep cool pink creme, i've decided to take a look back over the years at all the Chanel polishes that have really caused a fuss. Enjoy!

Summer Brights - Pink & Coral

Friday, October 22, 2010

Summer is finally just around the corner here in Australia (*YAY*). One of the things i am loving about summer 2010 is the comeback of bright bold lips. But not everyone has to confidence it takes to pull off a bright lip, when i first get a new bold colour i always wear it around the house for a few hours first - being sure to keep looking in the mirror etc. it really helps to get over the initial shock and builds confidence.

Just Landed - Revlon Just Bitten Lip stain + Balm

Monday, October 18, 2010

I have a massive weakness for anything to do with Vampires, so needless to say when i heard Revlon was releasing this new "Just Bitten" lip stain i was really excited. I really like all the vampy dark shades like Twilight and Forbidden and i've been on the look out for a true red lip stain for a while.

But once you get past the clever marketing it really is not a great product. I found the application of the stain really streaky and unpleasant, the balm isn't great either. Also they don't have any lighter options for those of us that aren't so daring.

Forbidden, Twilight, Gothic, Passion and Lust.

My first favourite's post... How exciting! September has been a good make-up month for me, I've finally found a few products that just work perfectly on my skin. A big month for Holy Grails.
